When transformation is underway throw away the rules but keep the parameters... In fact, upon commencement of any new endeavor initiate documentation immediately. No, this is not administrative busy work and Yes, this is an absolute priority; because without documentation, cannibalization is only inevitable. How you ask? Great question, absent documentation:
1.) brilliant minds live in analysis paralysis, 2.) weak minds faithfully bathe in insecurity & 3.) sharp minds are reduced to nothing but quick, targeted casualties; also known as scapegoats. So, document early - document now.
Document the following:
The Will (desired ideal)
Your Mindset (growth or fixed)
Our Discipline (accountability outline)
Then, upon establishing the WMD (aka strategy) one can visualize the possibilities, follow-up accordingly & do more than transition but rather TRANSFORM, yes? k, ICYMI: Transformation first starts with the mind. So do more than yearn for change or desire a difference – make an impact and knock that sh*t out of the park with the real WMD: your mind (think).
